Honest communication, honestly, it’s not that hard, is it? ‘Tacenda’ shows quite literally how hard it is and the very real consequences that develop and shape on account of not living a life with honesty.

Elizabeth and Joy have been friends forever, but even friendships break down when things that need to be said are left unsaid, and when pretence becomes the norm. Joel won’t have a very happy Superstar themed birthday and that will make everyone unhappy.

Innovative and fun, ‘Tacenda’ turns one day on its head and demonstrates the effects of communication and pushes the audience to understand the implications of one little white lie, after another. Comedic, clever and insightful Redbellyblack Theatre combine physical theatre, storytelling and great music to present to us the repetitive mistakes we can make in life if we don’t open up to who we really are and what we really need.

This is a zingy barebones production which shows insight and wit but would benefit from a review on the repetitious elements to make it less repetitious.
